Denon Dn 2000f

Welcome to Dj Chat! The 2600 is an impressive machine. I nearly bought one.

A friend of mine has one - it completely locked up durng a gig. Still under warranty too.

There are others to consider. The Pioneer dual unit is cool.

And I just bought a CDN-88 from Numark. Greatest CD player ever! If you're open to options, take a look on the gear board, go back over the last 60 days worth of posts - there are many about CD players. If you're mind is set though, the Denon is not the worst on the market.

Well, there sure is a lot of smoke surrounding Denon's dual player reliability, enough to make me wonder if there's a fire. Or is the reason for all the horror stories simply because there's a bazillion of them out there, and a 1% failure rate translates into what only SEEMS like a problem? But the primary alternative--the Numark 88--hasn't been around long enough to have a track record at all, has it?

Hell, it could be worse! And the Pioneer5000 is feature-short. What's a mother to do? Inquiring minds want to know. DJ: I have been a Denon User since the original 2000.

Creative Download Page. It's simply reliable and easy to use. I have owned every model practically My rule of thumb is replacement for all CD players every two years.

Denons really hold value well in the used market too. If you are a multi unit owner or even a single unit owner, upon warranty service, you can advise them of your urgency and they normally are able to fix any problems within a week. I'm fortunate to live in NYC where I can drop off the unit to Denon USA, where Christina who is proabably one of the best service agents in the world would be there to greet me an listen to my problems which are rare. She would then get it done and UPS it back to me within a week. I love mixing with the unit because you could really control the cd player with a couple of fingers on one hand because of the spacing of the buttons.

To be able to frame search eighter with the + or - buttons or the jog wheel really lends flexibilty. The rest of the bells and whistles are great too.

If you have money get the 2600 @ $1100 or if your tight get the 2100 @ $750. Eighter way if your hotmixing you can't go wrong! DENON / Silvio -- How about some steak, here. The sizzle we can read in any space ad, or brochure. Some numbers refuting all the failure & repair misery stories would be nice (if you have them), or an explanation of what used to be wrong but isn't anymore.

Something like that. I'm not trying to be a hardass just for fun, either. I'm very much a potential customer who decided on a 2600 about three weeks ago, but hasn't pulled the trigger yet because I keep hearing scary stories. Several people have E'd me with encouragement to buy a Numark 88 instead.
